Bien qu’issu d’une démarche poétique, le travail de Stéphanie Pommeret se construit autour de questions sociales déterminantes dans le choix des techniques et matériaux employés. En découle une interaction qui pousse l’artiste à sans cesse renouveler les expérimentations. A des gestes techniques simples, elle associe des matériaux à la portée de tous, souvent détournés de leur usage quotidien et c’est dans cet écart que surgit l’artistique.

Though coming from a poetic approach, Stéphanie Pommeret’s work is based on social issues that are crucial to the choice of the techniques and material being used. This brings about an interaction pushing the artist to review experimentations constantly. To simple technical gestures, she associates ordinary materials that are turned away from their daily use and it’s in its diversion that art comes out.
